Mamas Got The Blues

On Friday, November 6, Ruth Wyand kicks off both the New Harmony Blues & Americana Festival at Thralls Opera House with, "Mamas Got The Blues." This musical journey travels through 100 years of women in the blues, combining live performance, storytelling, historical imagery and film. 

This onstage show was created by blues guitarist, singer and songwriter Ruth Wyand with filmmaker Jean Antolini, the multimedia production traces the women who helped shape Blues history — from foundational voices to artists whose stories deserve to be heard again.
