Our Mission
One New Harmony is dedicated to stewarding the unique legacy of New Harmony by preserving, strengthening, and growing our social infrastructure, economy, and cultural heritage through economic development, promotion, design, and collaboration with community stakeholders and citizens.
'Visit New Harmony' is the marketing brand of 'One New Harmony,' our towns Indiana Main St. Organization. We are a member-driven group of 70+ volunteer organization representing our community's businesses, not-for-profits, institutions, and community volunteers. Main Street Organizations strengthen communities through preservation-based economic development, and are a part of the state's Office of Community and Rural Affairs in Indiana as well as a Nation wide network.
One New Harmony was established in 2022, expanding the mission of the 'New Harmony Business Associates'- a 501c6 membership organization that was established in 1981 to promote the businesses and community of New Harmony and the "New Harmony Business Associates Education and Activities fund" our 501c3 branch of the organization that became an Indiana Main St. organization under the new name "One New Harmony" to represent our focus on community collaboration and information sharing as well as our expanded focus on economic and community development.
