Framing the Past: The Art of Historical Thinking
Description
This program invites participants to step into the past and see the world as people once did. This engaging program explores how historians interpret events, objects, and ideas within the context of their own time—examining beliefs, values, and circumstances rather than judging by modern standards. Through discussion and hands-on examples, visitors will discover that understanding history is not just about what happened, but how and why it made sense to those who lived it.
This is part of the History In Translation series and celebrates America's 250th.
