Black Lodge is a charming little coffee shop nestled in the historic town of New Harmony. Not only was the espresso excellent (and made correctly) but they also have the friendliest staff. As soon as we walked in we were greeted pleasantly and taken care of right away. I also noticed they greeted some of the regular customers by name, which doesn’t go unnoticed. I ordered a drink off menu (Miel) and they were happy to accommodate. I spoke with the owner, Alex, who was extremely friendly and genuine, and has an extensive background in coffee. They source their coffee ethically from Brazil and will be happy to tell you about it. The building itself is historic and beautiful. Whether you’re in New Harmony or close by, Black Lodge is worth the stop.
