You can't beat the small-town (village?) ambiance that permeates New Harmony! Stop first and foremost at Black Lodge to mingle with Alex (the owner) and fine selection of workers who greet you with a smile along with perfected skills in making warm/cold, delicious drinks that tantalize the palate and melt away the stress of our routine lives! Afterwards, take time to walk to the Roofless Church, the historic Atheneum, the Labyrinth State Memorial, Cathedral Labyrinth (yes, it's a different one), Tillich Park (named after the famed philosopher Paul Tillich), Firehouse Antiques (lovely owners and great selection), small parks with fountains & sculptures, and delicious eateries! When done, return to Black Lodge to "chillax" again inside or out in the courtyard to enjoy the space, the people, and the peace. If you feel up to it, take a walk during the evening/night hours to embrace the silence that our souls seek. In other words, New Harmony is exactly the kind of place that reminds us that life is worth living! :-)
