Description
Join University of Southern Indiana geology professor Paul Doss and historical interpreter Heidi Doss from 1-3 p.m. on Saturday, November 9 for our next special tour, "Through a Geologist's Eyes: The Rich Geological Legacy of New Harmony." Learn about the impact of New Harmony's 19th-century scientists on the geological understanding of North America and why our little town is truly a keystone for Earth Science in North America and the world. Travel by tram to visit sites that help tell the story of the seminal work these geologists did to set the stage for research and education that continues today.

The tour starts at the Atheneum Visitors Center located at 401 North Arthur Street in New Harmony. Space on the tour is limited - our last special tour in August sold out, so be sure to reserve your spot soon! Call the Atheneum at 812-682-4474 for reservations.
